Jillian, her Venus is in the 5th house, the "natural house" of Leo, so the great need for appreciation is there : )

Whew, Thanks Allegra.

Yes...I do have a need to be appreciated! I love being praised! I have a bit of the 'center of attention' but it's not brash or in your face. It's more of an internal need.

What beautiful Grand Trines in water! It looks as if Angeline has already given you some great insights, but what jumped out at me was the Grand Trines, plus Chiron in the 12th.

Have you ever considered counseling addicts? Considering your indications, there's no way around the 3rd/4th, 8th, and 12th house connections with addiction and mental instability...and maybe you're not supposed to get around them. Sometimes, you can satisfy a troublesome need in a chart by using it in a deliberately positive manner.

Many nonprofit programs offer short-term training sessions that qualify you to do hotline work or basic services. It might just be a better outlet for the compassionate part of you that needs to be needed. If nothing else, it would give you a different perspective.

Cancer Sun with N. Node in the 1st, huh? If you can figure out the trick of caring for others for yourself, because it's something that's good for you, that would probably bring you quite a bit of satisfaction.

Oh I didn't even realize you had posted! Thanks for taking the time to look at my chart :) When I was younger, I did toy around with the idea of becoming a counsellor and it's funny but, I joke around alot at work that I have sign on my door that says "the doctor is in" because it just seems like everyone migrates to me for advice or help. Most of the time they just want someone to listen to them...I'm always there. Most of the guys I work with are either recovering or still addicts. I guess like you said there is no way around it. I also have/had people in my life who were mentally ill as well. My ex BF suffered from depression and my mother married a man when I was 5 yrs old who later was diagnosed Bi-polar. He ended up having a nervous breakdown (when I was 13).

Just re- reading your reply about people migrating to your door, for advice and help. Sounds like the sixth house is definitely working here, along with the water trines.......

Just got onto this, so I apologise profusely, if anyone has discussed these points already.

The Pluto in the 6th house really interested me. Pluto in Virgo, conjunct Uranus in Virgo. 60's child! I have uranus/pluto conj too.
In the sixth house, pluto gmight give you scope to transform yourself through a job or career. Ways of improving your health: diet, exercise can pay dividends. You may have spiritual healing powers ( astrologyweekly). With Uranus /conjunct, you might have that smouldering rebelliousness ( www.astroberry.com/) and you may refuse to respect the corrupt, the impure, you want to challenge the power elite ( www.astroberry.com/). There's an integrity there.
In the 6th house, you must be making some impact at work, or in a working environment.....
interesting!
pluto square moon- you like to feel more in control, in your intimate relationships, perhaps. You have to be yourself, and self- understanding through courses in psychology, or mediation etc would be great to enhance your own personal growth, and to gain insights into humanity...

anything rings true here?

Yup..born in 1968 : ) Well..my work doesn't have much to do with diet or excersise. I did want to become a nurse or work in the health feild (thats what I basically wanted for a career all along but, never pursued it). I definitely have a rebellious side for sure! I do not like people telling me what to do AT ALL! The whole control thing rings true for sure. I have control issues..at work and in intimate relationships as well.

that's interesting about your wanting to become a nurse/working in the health field. I have read all of us Pluto/Uranus in Virgo generation will have an impact, in
a few years, with trying to revolutionise work /health care. Complementary health seems to be already accessible alongside allopathic ( conventional medicine).
Was there a reason why you didn't pursue, since you obviously have something there.

Certainly, going back to the 6th hse issue, the work place has seen many changes, and the emphasis is probably going to be on practicality, what works, emphasis on health and safety etc. I suppose when the Pluto/Uranus in Virgo comes of age , and takes on politics ( maybe when we are in our 50's and 60's) all the above will be permanent a factor.

It has been said that the revolutions of the 60's across the world ( social changes, emanicpation, civil rights, etc) all had the influence of Uranus and Pluto together .
Uranus in Virgo- I would agree: I don't like people telling me what to do, unless i think they have a legitimate " right" to do so! Smouldering rebelliousness... I like the sound of that. I have been called subversive on a few occasions, as my own brand of rebellion is subtle and very independant. It kind of shocks people and they come out with "you're very enigmatic". Hahahhahh- if that's Uranus in Pluto, then bring it on ;D.

Pluto in Virgo would seem to be incredibly powerful- quite scary, really-
you've got the sense of detail, critique, being methodical, and yes, the control. Knowing details, means having control and more knowkedge and with knowledge , definitely power: not a bad thing, but all of us need to know when to let go.
Hard, I know.... do you sometimes feel compulsive? I have this occasions when I think I am completely crazy and obsessed over details ?? Why????!
