Scorpio males and dominance

I am a Cancer female and i am intruiged about the match with a Scorpio male. However,i have many aspects to Pluto and i know that many astrology sites say that Scorpio wants to be the dominant one,i don't think that i would be one to push a partner arund due to never having one,being rather meek myself and wanting to be devoted solely to the partner and sometimes enjoying the idea of a partner being in control,but i don't know whether lots of Pluto aspects would get in the way,like Mars square Pluto and Sun trine Pluto,despite i think,being a boost to my self-esteem,since they give rather Scorpionic traits and may be a threat to a Scorpio male,i don't know. I also fear that any secrets entrusted may be used against me,despite Scorpios being know as extremely loyal. Would a Scorpio entrust a partner with secrets? It just seems very unsettling to me that the revelation of secrets that one may or may not want exposed would not go the other way,it seems like manipulation to me-am i being too fearful? Do other factors in the chart take away the desire for control within the relationship? Interestingly,my birth date would have been October 28th had i not been very premature and i know that two Scorpios together can create a power struggle;maybe it is the same with lots of Plutonian energy plus venus conjunct mars and moon trine mars etc?
Does anyone know the difference between the posession of a Scorpio-who wants the person and their emotions and that connection and the Taurus who wants the person as a valuable object supposedly. I do not understand that last concept that some astrology sites discuss.

I can give you a good example of the difference between the type of possessiveness Taurus does versus the type Scorpio does with 2 anecdotes from my relationship history.

1. Taurus boyfriend (Pisces moon) wanted us to get matching tattoos on our hands of our initials combined into a monogram. Like a "Property of _____" sticker. Also, had a very bad habit of calling me his "woman" when talking to others about me. Hate. That.

2. Current Scorpio boyfriend woke me up in the middle of the night about a month ago.
"Can I ask you to promise me one thing?"
"Okay," I said.
"Whatever happens, please don't ever forget me."
Scorpio wants your soul and your mind.
We like to know that we've had a deep impact on you.

One more thing-- the Taurus liked me to dress up when we were around his friends so they'd be all impressed or whatever. The Scorpio says he actually prefers to see me with no makeup because he thinks I'm more authentic that way.
