What causes a Scorpio to be extremely shy and nervous around someone they like?

Hmm... she has been after me for quite a while, for over 6 months. I started returning the interest and attention. Since then, she has sort of "clammed" up. Of course, her Virgo moon isn't much help with that either. Thank you for your input. You helped me put it in perspective. :)
