Scorpios And "The One"

I was reading an article regarding scorpios and their lovers and I read that unless they feel their lover is THE ONE, a scorpio will often just use them as a plaything. I also read that they are often obsessed with the one lover they identify as THE ONE, and will do anything to get them.

I didn't believe it, until I remembered Prince Charles of Wales, who was in love with Camilla Parker-Bowles for years. They both married other people but he always wanted her around, made her a "special advisor", and moved closer to her and her husband. Eventually, he and her did have an affair (big surprise!), divorced Diana, and got married later.

I also notice this with scorpio moon and rising; I myself have had this happen; does anybody agree/disagree?

Yes, I've seen this in Scorpio friends, and do it myself as a Scorpio ascendant.

I will add that I've never really had a "play thing" though. That's just not my style. I approach every relationship as if she might be "the one" and wholly throw myself into it. I also often set myself up for heartbreak. But I refuse to love any other way, because then, to me, it wouldn't be love.

I'm the same in that I too approach each and every relationship as if they could be "the one". I feel that is often my biggest downfall. I can hope for more than is realistic, too.

I'll never stop. I don't care if I get hurt over and over (and that's the name of the game, thus far). I don't care if I never find what I'm searching for. You and I both know that anything less isn't worth a damn. So don't settle for it. Don't ever stop loving like that. Don't ever stop, you hear me?

I'd rather be alone than have something that's lukewarm. I'll love with all I've got, or I won't love at all. Damn the consequences.

I have a feeling if I ever find one of my own, it will either be the best or worst thing to ever happen to me - but I know that the one thing it will never be is ordinary and boring. ;)

anyway, i'm not sure you ever get to 'own' one. maybe in a way...

Oh, I'd never aspire to "own" one. I don't like to the idea of being owned myself, and equality is a big deal to me. If I did own one, she would own me, too - without a doubt or hesitation.

I'm not your average water-bearer, by the way. Scorpio rising, Mars, Saturn, Pluto.. and four Pluto aspects.

Aquarius w/ Scorpio, how does that work for you?
Yeah,in my chart every single thing is aspected by Pluto, except my Ascendant. Snort. Don't know why it stopped there, should've just kept going! lol

It's something I've only recently come to terms with. The "Aquarius" and "Scorpio" in me have fought against each other all my life. Astrology just gave me the labels. Unemotional, extremely emotional... intense, or light as air... perhaps even more duality thrown in thanks to my Gemini moon.

It's like oil and water, but I'm stirring like hell. ;)

Haha well, I chased one for a year now, and that ended horrifically. Definitely on the "worst side" of things.

Now I just have to find a better one...
