Ok so I pondered the wicked, there's always a brighter side too. So now who do you think would be the most giving/caring. Who would give freely to a panhandler, open there home for a stranger, volunteer at a soup kitchen, Who would be more likely to be a missionary & travel for mankind. Or use their voice to advocate for the less fortunate.There's the humanitarians, and some who are just as commited to helping, be it ppl in there lives donating to charities, or giving there time in their own neighborhoods. Anyone who can't pass on a stray animal & has to take it in? Who is good and why, do some do it for image, who is the most sincere.

Aries, the hidden/quiet philanthropists you would never have guessed. they give without asking for something in return, or recognition. not the kind who gives freely to a panhandler i don't think. more like in situations that touch them deeply.

Aquarians tend to be the most humanitarian... but Cancers and Pisceans tend to be very caring in their own ways (and more personal). My Cancer grandma was the most caring person I have ever known. She passed away in 1999, but I've recently come across her birth certificate after getting into astrology. I looked up her chart, and it brought a tear to my eye when I looked it over. She was also Libra rising, with a Libra moon.

I guess it depends on the situation, some ppl are very kind to family, My Cancer sister in law is a doll, I was in a financial pinch, medical co pay, but she had money in the bank & she made sure I knew to go ahead & keep Dr's appts that she'd take care of it. Virgos are pretty selfless too.

I'm very careful about budgeting and saving money. Over the years I've had many friends borrow money from me.

But I always make them sign and date a contract! That's the Virgo in me, LOL

I found Virgos are the ones who give of their time and their help/hospitality without asking for much in return (if you are in their good books of course).

Geminies (know several) are helpers alright but they do it for the image im my experience LOL my grandma is a perfect example!!

I tend to give everything for free, my time, my possessions, my money, a place for people to crash at, food, help... you name it I have probably given it. I also can't walk past animals in need without helping. It's ridiculous because I even HAVE TO STOP to help slugs, snails, worms etc... on wet days because I can't stand it when people walk carelessly and kill all of these innocent creatures who are simply trying to get home before the sun dries them to death =(
I don't do it for image, it actually annoys me when people have to mention in public how I may have helped them. Not sure why, it just makes me feel immensly uncomfortable.
Having said all of this I am no saint LOL

sounds just like me, down to the slugs, I have had so many rescue animals, I have fostered pitbulls, I once went to the pet store to buy a ferret, instead of a kit, i bought a bigger one somebody had gotten & then got bored with & took to get rid of. I would do anything for anyone, not in a recognize me way, or because I can't say no. I just don't think I have much selfishness to me. and I don't like to be recognized for anything either.

Scorpio can be a helper too, if in the mood -- killing off old, ineffective policies, fighting for rights, general concern for the state, etc

A Scorpio taking care of someone in their inner circle is a given. No hesitation, and no waiting around.

It might take a lot to get a Scorpio moving on a more humanitarian angle (possibly a personal injustice that applies to many people?) - but once they do, you can bet they will put their all into it. They are only slow to action because they are waiting for the precise moment to strike, so to speak.

I think I can expand about the other signs, though.

Sagittarius - great with kids
Cap - very encouraging
Libras - definitely the type to take in stray animals and love them
Scorps - handymen
Taurus - is inclined to loan you money if you need it
Aries - great people to pick you up when you're down
Gemini - umm, someone help me out here? Heh. We do have our humor. But that doesn't quite count.

Gemini's are good for emotional support, bring a smile when someone is down, aww they are like Xanax in ppl form, I have a few whose lighthearted airy ways help lift my spirits all the time :)

And then there's the ones like me that...defy explanation altogether...I guess lighthearted is a good word for it, when I'm capable of that.

But as far as giving, in the true sense of the word? That's become a rather difficult thing for me. I think it always has been. I've always had a degree of selfishness and I won't deny it. Not selfish as in I would turn away someone in SERIOUS need (if he's a friend, that is), but won't selflessly give. I wouldn't give someone my last 5 dollars or my floor to sleep on...maybe buy him dinner, sure. Maybe hook him up with some conversation if he needs to talk, back in the day, get him high if he needed a pick-me-up. But ultimately, man, I do for me. I won't put myself in a position where I'm inconvenienced or uncomfortable.

And believe it or not, most people I know wouldn't do it for me, either. They can talk all they want about how giving or caring they are, amazing how very little of that rings true when it comes down to it. Sun sign or otherwise, I think everybody has a bit of the "me" in them but I'm the one who will readily admit it.
